Kapi‘olani Medical Specialists (KMS) is a specialty physician group dedicated to caring for Hawai‘i's women and children through excellence in academics, physician training, medical research and clinical care. The group is comprised of over 100 Specialists, Nurse Practitioners and other staff, covering newborn to women's health services at Kapi‘olani Medical Center for Women & Children. KMS operates exclusively for charitable, scientific and educational purposes, offering highly specialized care options at Kapi‘olani and building support for these services within Hawai‘i as a whole. The group’s specialty areas include: Behavioral Health Services, Emergency Medicine, Hematology/Oncology, Neonatology and the full spectrum of Pediatrics. Its Women’s specialists include Adult Hospitalists and GYN Oncology.
The Pediatric Surgery department provides specialized, minimally invasive surgical care for a wide variety of developmental and acquired problems among children. Our highly trained professionals put great value in helping families and parents evaluate and obtain the best treatment options for their children so that they can overcome these obstacles and lead a healthy, normal life.

In this role, you will deliver direct patient care, including evaluation, treatment and technical procedures to a specific group of patients, as well as provide health education, referrals to other disciplines, and consultation with other allied health personnel. Minimum Qualifications: Must meet education requirements for Hawaii state licensing. Current Hawai‘i Registered Nurse License. Current Hawaii APRN license. Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Nurse Practitioner certification in pediatrics. Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card. Two (2) years experience in pediatrics.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in nursing or related field. Nurse practitioner program. One (1) year advanced practical experience. Teaching and/or public speaking experience. Background in Pediatrics.
