Pali Momi Medical Center overlooks majestic Pearl Harbor on the island of O‘ahu. With 116 beds and more than 390 physicians on its medical staff, Pali Momi has delivered many medical firsts to the community, including West O‘ahu’s only interventional cardiac catheterization unit for the detection and treatment of heart disease, a fully integrated minimally invasive surgical suite, CT scan and MRI services, emergency services, a Women’s Center and the state’s first Retina Center. Pali Momi is the only facility in Hawai‘i that utilizes a team triage approach in its Emergency Room, where patients are promptly evaluated by an emergency physician. Our Food and Nutrition Services provide quality nutritious meals to patients, visitors and staff while educating on the importance of healthy eating habits. We also work with medical staff to ensure accurate diet modifications for patients as needed. The department is responsible for performing a variety of general preparation and food service activities, including tray assembly and delivery, working in the cafeteria, cashiering, ware washing, assisting with pantry functions, nourishment activities and catering.
If you are a responsible and caring individual with great communication skills, you could share valuable nutritional and dietary information with Pali Momi patients and staff. As the Dietician Aide, you will help to produce patient menus based on individual care plans and needs, as well as other duties related to maintaining patient diet records and general office support for the department. Minimum Qualifications: High school or equivalent. Post high school course in Nutrition or Diet Therapy or equivalent work experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Six (6) months food science or related experience.
