Hawaii Pacific Health Analyst - Charge Systems in Honolulu, Hawaii

Job Description

Hawai‘i Pacific Health is a nonprofit health care system formed in 2001 with the merger of three longtime Hawai‘i health systems. It is the state’s largest health care provider, committed to providing the highest quality medical care and service to the people of Hawai‘i and the Pacific Region through its four hospitals, 49 outpatient clinics and service sites, and more than 1,300 affiliated physicians. The system is anchored by its four flagship nonprofit hospitals: Kapi‘olani Medical Center for Women & Children, Pali Momi Medical Center, Straub Medical Center and Wilcox Medical Center, which have led groundbreaking initiatives in women’s health, pediatric care, cardiovascular services, cancer care and bone and joint services. Hawai‘i Pacific Health ranks among the top 5 percent of hospitals nationwide in the adoption of electronic medical records, with system-wide implementation that allows its hospitals and physicians to offer integrated, coordinated care throughout the state.

The Charge Systems Services team of financial professionals helps to develop, maintain and report on the Charge Description Master (CDM) and establish accurate charges to support ancillary, hospital and physician services. The department ensures data integrity between the CDM, hospital charge sheets and ancillary systems; researches coding and revenue reporting requirements and monitors Hawai‘i Pacific Health pricing policies to maximize reimbursement within budget guidelines and comply with the appropriate regulations.

If you have a talent for working with numbers and outstanding analytical skills, you could support the Revenue Management department at Hawai‘i Pacific Health hospitals and clinics as the Charge Systems Analyst. You will provide project support, information and documentation for the Charge Description Master (CDM) and other master file processes, as well as establish accurate charges to support ancillary, hospital and physician services, develop charge structures that are compliant with existing laws and regulations and optimize reimbursement. The position is an essential part of the administrative team, and contributes to the oversight of major aspects of administrative and revenue management.
