Founded in 1921, Straub Medical Center includes a 159-bed hospital in Honolulu, a network of neighborhood clinics and a visiting specialist program that reaches throughout the state of Hawai'i. With over 200 physicians who are leaders in their fields, Straub provides its patients with diagnoses and treatments for more than 32 different medical specialties, including bone and joint, heart, cancer, endocrinology/diabetes, family medicine, gastroenterology, geriatric medicine, internal medicine, vascular and urology. Straub is home to the Pacific Region’s only multidisciplinary burn treatment center. The hospital consistently brings new technologies and innovative medical practices to Hawai'i, such as minimally invasive cardiac surgery and total joint replacement.

Comprehensive Urgent Care at this clinic provides diagnosis and treatment of non-life threatening illness and injury for adults, adolescents, children, and infants. This Ka Makana Alii Clinic features team-based adult and pediatric primary care to consistently manage the overall health care needs for patients of all ages as well as Obstetrics, Gynecology and family planning services. Pediatric Sports Medicine focuses on prevention and treatment of fitness activity injuries. Specialty Care is provided at the clinic by rotating Hawai‘i Pacific Health Specialists or in coordination with over 1,800 system Physicians and all services of Kapi‘olani, Pali Momi, and Straub Medical Centers. On-site, walk-in, laboratory and X-ray imaging bring diagnostic services to this neighborhood. Supported by the most advanced electronic medical record system the clinic’s team leverages the MyChart patient portal which engages patients to connect with their doctor and care team, manage their health, optimize their appointments, and help family member track their health.

If you are compassionate and empathetic, you could be our next Psychologist to provide invaluable integrated behavioral health services to patients currently receiving primary care. You would be the main interface for patients to access services such as peer/family counseling and support, screening, assessment, brief treatment, consultative services, education and engagement, linkages, outreach and advocacy. We are looking for someone sensitive and perceptive, with a strong sense of community care and social service, who shares our passion for health care in the community.

Minimum Qualifications: Doctorate (Ph.D or Psy.D) in clinical or counseling psychology. Current Hawai‘i Psychology license. Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card. Professional knowledge of loss, illness, and disability issues.

Preferred Qualifications: Two (2) years of experience in a psychologist role.
