Kapi‘olani Medical Center for Women & Children is well recognized as Hawai‘i’s leader in the care of women, infants and children. With 207 beds and 66 bassinettes, the nonprofit hospital is Hawai‘i’s only maternity, newborn and pediatric specialty hospital. It is also a tertiary care, medical teaching and research facility. Specialty services include intensive care for infants and children, 24-hour emergency care, neonatal and pediatric air transport and children’s specialty clinics. With a dedicated team of more than 1,300 employees and 604 physicians, the hospital is home to Kapi‘olani Women’s Center, Kapi‘olani Breast Center and Kapi‘olani Women’s Cancer Center, the state’s only dedicated breast health and gynecological cancer centers. Kapi‘olani offers numerous community programs and services, such as the Kapi‘olani Child Protection Center and Sex Abuse Treatment Center, and through our affiliation with the University of Hawai‘i, we are home to the John A. Through clinical trials, the newest, most promising medications, medical devices, and treatment protocols are made available to patients. The Clinical Trials team at Hawai‘i Pacific Health Research Institute (HPHRI) supports clinical trials within the Hawai‘i Pacific Health network of hospitals to expand our knowledge and better provide top quality medical care to Hawai‘i’s populations. We participate in more than 200 clinical trials a year, working with more than 70 principal investigators who are overseen by our highly trained professional staff of care providers and research managers.
As the Clinical Study Coordinator with the Hawai‘i Pacific Health Research Institute, you will play an integral role in expanding essential health care knowledge and best practices in Hawai‘i. Working at Kapi‘olani Medical Center for Women & Children, you will oversee and support all activities related to the implementation of research protocols with patients and other institute staff. We are looking for someone with exceptional planning and patient care skills, attention to detail and research protocol, ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented atmosphere and a commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai‘i’s people.

Minimum Qualifications: Registered or licensed clinical health care worker or equivalent combination of education, training and/or related work experience. Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card. Three (3) years clinical experience in a health care setting or related experience.
Preferred Qualifications: GCP Certification. Previous clinical research experience.
