At Hawai‘i Pacific Health the Captive Risk Management department promotes the health and safety of patients, employees, physicians and visitors. Our team focuses on identification and prevention/control of risk exposures within the organization that may cause injury, jeopardize the safety and security of the environment, and/or result in costly claims and lawsuits with subsequent financial loss to the organization. We strive to protect the organization’s resources against losses arising from occurrences that could have been averted with appropriate risk management measures.
As the Director, you will oversee the functions and activities of the Hawai‘i Pacific Health (HPH) Risk Management Department, including supervison of entity Risk Management programs. In this role, you will collaborate with facility and medical staff leadership and the Patient Safety and Quality leaders to integrate risk management and patient relations functions into the organizations’ programs. You will use both formal and informal mechanisms, coordinate risk identification, loss intervention, evaluation, and resolution activities. You will also provide education and consultation on risk prevention issues. As the Director, you will oversee language access programs on a system level. You will have primary responsibility and oversight for insurance programs at HPH and the financial operational management of Providers Insurance Corporation; including coordinating all insurance programs for the system.

Minimum Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Nursing or other clinical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or related work experience. Certified Professional in Health care Risk Management or equivalent. Five (5) years of experience in healthcare risk management.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing a multi-facility risk management program.

Hawai‘i Pacific Health offers a comprehensive and competitive total rewards package that includes pay and benefits. The pay rate, if displayed, is the minimum hourly rate for the position. Rate of pay for selected candidates will be determined by various factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, relevant experience and training, as well as internal peer equity.
Starting Hourly Rate: 93.50
