Hawai'i Pacific Health is a not-for-profit health care network with over 70 locations statewide including medical centers, clinics, physicians and other caregivers serving Hawai'i and the Pacific Region with high quality, compassionate care. Its four medical centers - Kapi'olani, Pali Momi, Straub and Wilcox - specialize in innovative programs in women’s health, pediatric care, cardiovascular services, cancer care, bone and joint services and more. As Director, your role will be to provide leadership, strategic development, implementation and coordination of Hawai‘i Pacific Health’s Payment Transformation programs. Ensures appropriate utilization and cost effective care while maintaining or improving patient quality, access, and satisfaction. Develops transformative programs to advance the organization’s strategy to create a value-based health care organization. Collaborates and advises HPH executive leadership on rate setting for capitated programs, distribution of financial responsibility for risk based contracting activities, coordination of supporting actuarial analysis, and serves as subject matter expert on contracting, ACO reporting and other matters. We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills and a passion to support the delivery of the highest quality health care to Hawai‘i’s people.

Minimum Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Health Care or Business related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Seven (7) to ten (10) years of experience in strategic program development and/or health care enterprise management. Demonstrated experience working effectively in a complex environment negotiating and mediating complex and often competing interests. Experience working with internal and external health care stakeholders (e.g., physicians, clinical staff, and administration). Experience leading quality and performance improvement initiatives. Health care experience.

Preferred Qualifications: MHA, MPH, MBA, MSA, or equivalent. Eight (8) plus years of progressive experience in management consulting, internal corporate strategy, a start-up, finance, or other business environment with proven success leading teams.

Three (3) plus years of experience driving transformational organization change with proven results. Experience with value-based reimbursement methodologies, including global capitation arrangements. Management and financial analyst experience in health care provider system or insurer organizations with significant risk-based contracting arrangements. Experience coordinating actuarial analysis and building financial dashboards in a risk environment. Advanced knowledge of health care and insurance industry current and future trends, in order to assess future market needs.
