Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children is Hawai'i’s only maternity, newborn and pediatric specialty hospital. It is well recognized as Hawai'i’s leader in the care of women, infants and children. With 243 beds, the not-for-profit hospital delivers 6,000 babies a year, and is also a medical teaching and research facility. Specialty services for patients throughout Hawai'i and the Pacific Region include intensive care for infants and children, 24-hour emergency pediatric and adult care, critical care air transport and high-risk perinatal care. Over 1,500 employees and more than 630 physicians provide specialty care at Kapi'olani. The hospital is home to the Kapi'olani Women’s Center and the Women’s Cancer Center, and offers numerous community programs and services, such as specialty pediatric clinics, the Kapi'olani Child Protection Center and the Sex Abuse Treatment Center.
Rehabilitation Services provides physical, speech, audiology and occupational therapy services to both inpatients and outpatients across the full continuum of care. Our trained experts specialize in a variety of innovative programs for people with physical and cognitive disabilities and injuries, including conditions such as brain injury, stroke, spinal cord disorders, orthopedic injuries and post-surgical rehabilitation, multiple sclerosis, amputations, arthritis, Parkinson’s disease and chronic pain.
As the Director of Rehabilitation Services, you will provide leadership to one of the most important initiatives of our community-based and social services. You will oversee the administration of rehabilitation services for pre-term to adults patients at Kapi‘olani Medical Center for Women & Children and network with community agencies to identify opportunities to establish leadership roles, partnerships and joint activities. You will manage on a wide scope, providing supervision to department activities and strategic planning to meet the organization’s rehabilitation services goals. Minimum Qualifications: Current Hawai‘i license or certification in rehabilitation related field. Five (5) years managerial experience, preferably in rehabilitation services. Previous clinical experience in a hospital setting. Valid driver's license and abstract. Current Hawai’i auto insurance.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in health care related field.
