Kapi‘olani Medical Center for Women & Children is well recognized as Hawai‘i’s leader in the care of women, infants and children. With 207 beds and 66 bassinets, the nonprofit hospital is Hawai‘i’s only maternity, newborn and pediatric specialty hospital. It is also a tertiary care, medical teaching and research facility. The Biomedical Engineering department supports and enhances the work of our health care professionals by overseeing the maintenance, evaluation, technical support and training for all medical and scientific instrumentation/biomedical equipment. Our team ensures that the latest health care engineering and technology is put to the service of quality patient care and we work to enhance the use of this technology through ongoing evaluation, operation and staff education.
As the Biomedical Equipment Repair Tech II, you enable our health care professionals to carry out their work with state-of-the-art biomedical infrastructure. You will provide maintenance and technical support for the medical and scientific instrumentation used by facility physicians and technicians. We are looking for someone meticulous with a demonstrated appreciation for technical protocol and quality control, willingness to work with others in a team-oriented atmosphere, the ability to carry out tasks efficiently with minimal supervision and a commitment to helping our organization deliver the highest quality health care to Hawai‘i’s people.

Minimum Qualifications: Associate’s degree in electronics or biomedical technology, or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Biomedical Equipment Technician certification.
