The Biomedical Engineering department supports and enhances the work of our health care professionals by overseeing the maintenance, evaluation, technical support and training for all medical and scientific instrumentation/biomedical equipment. Our team ensures that the latest health care engineering and technology is put to the service of quality patient care and we work to enhance the use of this technology through ongoing evaluation, operation and staff education.

As the Biomedical Equipment Repair Tech I, you would maintain clinical equipment through the effective use of the medical equipment management plan. In addition, you would perform a variety of routine tasks associated with the installation, testing, maintenance, calibration and repair of a limited scope of biomedical equipment. We are looking for someone meticulous with a demonstrated appreciation for technical protocol and quality control, willingness to work with others in a team-oriented atmosphere, the ability to carry out tasks efficiently with minimal supervision and a commitment to creating a healthier Hawai‘i.

Minimum Qualifications: Associate degree in electronics or biomedical technology or three (3) years of experience in related medical electronic repair.

Preferred Qualifications: Biomedical Equipment Technician certification.
