Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children is Hawai'i’s only maternity, newborn and pediatric specialty hospital. It is well recognized as Hawai'i’s leader in the care of women, infants and children. With 243 beds, the not-for-profit hospital delivers 6,000 babies a year, and is also a medical teaching and research facility. The Food and Nutrition Services department provides quality nutritious meals to patients, visitors and staff while educating on the importance of healthy eating habits. It also works with medical staff to ensure accurate diet modifications for patients as needed. The department is responsible for performing a variety of general preparation and food service activities, including tray assembly and delivery, working in the cafeteria, cashiering, ware washing, assisting with pantry functions, nourishment activities and catering.
If you are enthusiastic, orderly and enjoy working with people, you could be our next Food Service Worker, and play an integral role helping to provide quality food and nutrition to patients, staff and guests. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of general preparation and food service activities, including tray assembly and delivery, working in the cafeteria, cashiering, washing dishware, assisting with managing the pantry and catering. Barista at Starbucks take orders and make coffee, tea and other drinks to customer specifications. Cleaning and sanitizing work areas, utensils and equipment. Describing menu items and suggesting products to customers. Starbucks barista may also operate cash registers, and credit cards machine. Barista may field customer complaints or questions as well. Minimum Qualifications: High school or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications: One (1) year general food service experience or equivalent post high school vocational training. Institutional or health care food service experience. Barista, customer service and restaurant experience. Strong communication. Works well under pressure. Strong planning skills. Ability to multitask. Strong attention to detail.
