Founded in 1921, Straub Medical Center includes a 159-bed hospital in Honolulu, a network of neighborhood clinics and a visiting specialist program that reaches throughout the state of Hawai'i. At the Mililani Clinic, Urgent Access covers 12,000 square feet of patient care area and provides women's health services, adult primary care, pediatric care and specialty care. The center offers services in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of illness and injury for infants, children, adolescents and adults.
As a Medical Assistant in our Urgent Access department, you will join the dedicated team of physicians and medical staff that provide our recognized compassionate health services to patients and their families. In this role, you will perform a wide variety of patient care activities at Straub Mililani. We are looking for someone detail-oriented and attentive, with strong communications and patient care skills and a commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai‘i’s people.

Minimum Qualifications: High school or equivalent. Completion of a Medical Assistant Program and/or equivalent experience. Certified or Registered Medical Assistant with the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), American Medical Technologists (AMT), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), or National Healthcareer Association (NHA). Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card.
Preferred Qualifications: Six (6) months medical assistant experience. Knowledge of Classification Procedural Terminology (CPT) or ICD-10 coding. Experience with electronic medical records.
