Job Description

Founded in 1921, Straub Medical Center includes a 159-bed hospital in Honolulu, a network of neighborhood clinics and a visiting specialist program that reaches throughout the state of Hawai'i. With over 200 physicians who are leaders in their fields, Straub provides its patients with diagnoses and treatments for more than 32 different medical specialties, including bone and joint, heart, cancer, endocrinology/diabetes, family medicine, gastroenterology, geriatric medicine, internal medicine, vascular and urology. Straub is home to the Pacific Region’s only multidisciplinary burn treatment center. The hospital consistently brings new technologies and innovative medical practices to Hawai'i, such as minimally invasive cardiac surgery and total joint replacement.

Our nuclear medicine technologists perform studies and tests using radioactive isotopes, employing one of the most advanced diagnostic technologies available today. These studies include imaging of the thyroid, heart, lung, bone, live and kidney, as well as tumors, infection and other problems. Nuclear Medicine techniques also help to diagnose and treat patients for hyperthyroidism and thyroid cancer, and palliation of bone pain.

As the Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will help to ensure that the Imaging Services at Straub provide quality diagnostic services and care for patients and their families, specifically by performing nuclear medicine procedures. We are looking for someone with excellent patient care skills, an appreciation for technical procedure and protocol and a commitment to our vision of delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai‘i’s people.

Minimum Qualifications: Successful completion of nuclear medicine technologist training program. Current Hawai’i state Nuclear Medicine Technologist license. Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card.

Preferred Qualifications: One (1) year clinical nuclear medicine technologist experience.

Rate of pay for selected candidates will be determined by various factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, relevant experience and training, as well as internal peer equity.

Starting Hourly Rate: 54.06
