Kapi'olani Medical Specialists (KMS) is a specialty physician group dedicated to caring for Hawai'i's women and children through excellence in academics, physician training, medical research and clinical care. The group is comprised of over 100 Specialists, Nurse Practitioners and other staff, covering newborn to women's health services at Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children. KMS operates exclusively for charitable, scientific and educational purposes, offering highly specialized care options at Kapi'olani and building support for these services within Hawai'i as a whole. The group’s specialty areas include: Neurology, Orthopedics, Genetics, Adolescent Medicine, Otolaryngology, Behavioral Health Services, Hematology/Oncology, Neonatology, Pediatric Intensive Care, Family Medicine and the full spectrum of Pediatric Specialties. Its Women's specialists include Breast and General Surgery, Adult Hospitalists and GYN Oncology.
Our Physiatry department specializes in treater patients who have a wide variety of disorders, injuries or illnesses in the musculoskeletal system. This includes treatments that relieve the function or pain in a patient’s muscles, bones, associated nerves,ligaments, tendons, and other structures.
If you enjoy working with people and believe in warm, compassionate health care, you could be the next Nurse Practitioner in our Pediatric Physiatry department. In this role, you will deliver direct patient care,including evaluation, treatment and technical procedures to a specific group of patients, as well as provide health education, referrals to other disciplines, and consultation with other allied health personnel. We are looking for someone dedicated and experienced, with excellent care and communication skills and a commitment to creating a healthier Hawai‘i.

Minimum Qualifications:
Current Hawai‘i Registered Nurse License. Current Hawai‘i Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license. Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card. Two (2) years nursing experience in related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
Current Hawai‘i Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license. At least two (2) years’ experience in Pediatric Physiatry.
