The Design and Construction team supports the organization broadly. New locations. Renovations. Projects to accommodate new technologies. Short-term projects. Long-term projects. Vaccine clinics. Testing locations. The team is involved in space planning, insurance-replacement value estimates, design and construction, equipment planning, facility master planning, land use entitlement, leases and real property transactions.

As the Design and Construction Project Manager, you will coordinate and oversee the design and construction of projects, as well as track scope, design, funding, and construction schedules to ensure timely project completion. We are looking for someone experienced and innovative, with excellent planning skills, the ability to coordinate among various parties and implement long-term goals and a commitment to creating a healthier Hawai‘i.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a work-related discipline/field. Five (5) years of experience in the design or construction industry with understanding of different project delivery methods. Local construction industry knowledge. Project management, scheduling, and budget experience. Understanding of building safety codes, and OSHA regulations.
Preferred Qualifications: Seven (7) years of experience in the design or construction industry. Supervisory/lead experience.
