Summary:

Kapi‘olani Medical Center for Women & Children is well recognized as Hawai‘i’s leader in the care of women, infants and children. With 207 beds and 66 bassinettes, the nonprofit hospital is Hawai‘i’s only specialty maternity, newborn and pediatric hospital. Specialty services include intensive care for infants and children, 24-hour emergency care, neonatal and pediatric air transport and pediatric specialty clinics. With a dedicated team of more than 1,300 employees and 604 physicians, the hospital is home to Kapi‘olani Women’s Center, Kapi‘olani Breast Center and Kapi‘olani Women’s Cancer Center, the state’s only dedicated breast health and gynecological cancer centers. Kapi‘olani is also a tertiary care, medical teaching and research facility that offers numerous community programs and services, such as the Kapi‘olani Child Protection Center and Sex Abuse Treatment Center. Through its affiliation with the University of Hawai‘i, it is home to the John A. Burns School of Medicine Pediatrics and OB/GYN residency programs.

The Resource team provides quality, comprehensive patient care in an assigned facility, covering for regular staff members that, for a variety of reasons, are unable to attend to their normal positions. The Resource Team provides clinical and nursing support and encompasses a broad skill set that enables members to float to various areas in the hospital or clinic. If you are a compassionate, sensitive caregiver and enjoy working in a team-oriented environment, you could be the ideal candidate for our Registered Nurse position. You would provide nursing services through the assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation and documentation of patient care. You would also function as an associate to a charge nurse, and eventually assume charge nurse responsibilities. Other information:

Minimum Qualifications: Current Hawai’i Registered Nurse license. Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) card. One (1) year of recent registered nurse experience in an Adult Intensive Care Unit (AICU). One (1) year of recent registered nurse experience in at least one of the following areas: Labor and Delivery Unit, Mother Baby Care Unit (MBCU), Medical Surgical, Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), and/or Emergency Department (ED).

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field.
