Kapi'olani Medical Specialists (KMS) is a specialty physician group dedicated to caring for Hawai'i's women and children through excellence in academics, physician training, medical research and clinical care. The group is comprised of over 100 Specialists, Nurse Practitioners and other staff, covering newborn to women's health services at Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children. KMS operates exclusively for charitable, scientific and educational purposes, offering highly specialized care options at Kapi'olani and building support for these services within Hawai'i as a whole. The group’s specialty areas include: Neurology, Orthopedics,Genetics, Adolescent Medicine, Otolaryngology, Behavioral Health Services, Hematology/Oncology, Neonatology, Pediatric Intensive Care, Family Medicine and the full spectrum of Pediatric Specialties. Its Women's specialists include Breast and General Surgery, Adult Hospitalists and GYN Oncology.

The OB/GYN department offers complete obstetrical and gynecological care for women and is one of the most comprehensive centers for women’s health in Hawai‘i. Services include obstetrical care, pre-pregnancy counseling, medical, dietary and social service counseling, pregnancy testing, prenatal and high-risk prenatal care, counseling and postpartum follow-up care, referral services, infertility diagnostics and treatment, family planning, annual physical exams and pap smears, testing and treatment for sexually transmitted diseases, birth control methods, routine gynecological exams, evaluation for and scheduling of gynecologic surgeries, cyst biopsy and removal, nutrition counseling, and endocrine and teen clinics, among others.

As the OB Ultrasound Technologist, you will help to ensure that the Imaging Services at our Hilo OB GYN clinic provide quality care for Obstretics patients and their families by performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations. We are looking for someone with outstanding patient care and technical skills, an appreciation for procedure and protocol and a commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai‘i’s people.

Minimum Qualifications: Formal training in ultrasound. Must meet education requirements for Hawai‘i State licensing. Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Current BLS/HCP card.

Preferred Qualifications: NTQR Sonographer Certification with the Nuchal Translucency Quality Review Program. One (1) year clinical and/or OB sonography experience with a Maternal Fetal Medicine/High-risk Prenatal Practice.
