Founded in 1938, Wilcox Medical Center is a not-for-profit hospital dedicated to providing the Kaua'i community with accessible, quality health care. The largest medical center on Kaua'i, it is a state-of-the-art acute care facility with a full suite of services offering 30 specialties and programs including cardiology, emergency, family practice, gastroenterology, health management, internal medicine, neurology, OB-GYN, oncology, orthopedics, pediatrics and urology. Its 20-bed emergency department is the first neighbor island facility to obtain a Level III Trauma designation and serves as the island’s Primary Stroke Center. The medical center also has four birthing suites, seven intensive care beds and 20 same-day surgery beds. Our Perioperative Services department provides full support throughout the duration of a patient's surgical procedure, spanning ward admission, anesthesia, surgery and recovery. Professional care services include identification of the patient’s individual needs, patient care plan development and implementation and the coordination of nursing service to restore each patient’s health before, during and after a surgical procedure.
If you have a fine-tuned sense of responsibility and excellent patient communication skills, you could help the Clinical Operation team uphold the highest standards of excellence in health care at Wilcox’s Medical Surgical department. As the Clinical Assistant, you will assist in performing nursing and health care service procedures, as well as certain clerical services. We are looking for someone motivated and detail-oriented who shares our commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai‘i’s people.

Minimum Qualifications: High school or equivalent. Completion of nurse aide course with certification or completion of one year of a nursing program. Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card.
Preferred Qualifications: Current Hawai’i Certified Nursing Assistant certificate. One (1) year clerical experience in a health care setting.
