Founded in 1938, Wilcox Medical Center is a not-for-profit medical center dedicated to providing the Kaua‘i community with accessible quality health care. The largest medical center on Kaua‘i, it is a state-of-the-art acute care facility with a full suite of services offering 30 specialties and programs, including cardiology, emergency, family practice, gastroenterology, health management, internal medicine, neurology, OB-GYN, oncology, orthopedics, pediatrics and urology. The Pharmacy department is responsible for compounding and dispensing pharmaceuticals, supplies, medications and large-to-small volume parenterals, as well as providing drug information and education. We strive to ensure that our patients and clients receive safe and effective medication by applying the highest standards of modern pharmaceutical care.
As the Pharmacist, you will help to ensure that the Pharmacy department at Wilcox Memorial Hospital provides outstanding pharmaceutical knowledge and services to our patients and their families. In this role, you will compound and dispense pharmaceuticals, supplies, medications and large and small volume parenterals. You will also provide information concerning medications to other health professionals, and monitor the safe distribution of medications to patients. Minimum Qualifications: Current Hawai’i pharmacist license.
Preferred Qualifications: One (1) year hospital pharmacy experience.
Hawai‘i Pacific Health offers a comprehensive and competitive total rewards package that includes pay and benefits. The pay rate, if displayed, is the minimum hourly rate for the position. Rate of pay for selected candidates will be determined by various factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, relevant experience and training, as well as internal peer equity.
