Founded in 1938, Wilcox Medical Center is a not-for-profit hospital dedicated to providing the Kaua'i community with accessible, quality health care. The Wilcox Memorial Hospital Trauma Program coordinates a variety of clinical tools to provide multidisciplinary care to pediatric patients who have suffered medical trauma. As the Coordinator of Clinical Services at the Wilcox Memorial Hospital Trauma Center, you will plan, organize, coordinate and evaluate all aspects of the trauma service, including delivery, performance, prevention, public education, training and continuing education, with the goal of building and strengthening a Trauma Resource Hospital.
As the Coordinator of Clinical Services at the Wilcox Memorial Hospital Trauma Center, you will have the opportunity to help patients and their families who have suffered traumatic experiences by overseeing the daily operation of the department. You will implement and track the effectiveness of programs, plans and policies designed to enhance the quality of patient care services. In coordination with the Trauma Medical Director, you will organize and evaluate all aspects of the Trauma Service, including its delivery process, performance improvement, prevention and education. Minimum Qualifications: Current Hawai‘i Registered Nurse License. Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card. Current certification or certification within 6 months of hire in American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC), Pediatrics Advanced Life Support (PALS), Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN). Three (3) to five (5) years of clinical experience in emergency room care.
