Founded in 1938, Wilcox Medical Center is a not-for-profit hospital dedicated to providing the Kaua'i community with accessible, quality health care. The largest medical center on Kaua'i, it is a state-of-the-art acute care facility with a full suite of services offering 30 specialties and programs including cardiology, emergency, family practice, gastroenterology, health management, internal medicine, neurology, OB-GYN, oncology, orthopedics, pediatrics and urology. Its 20-bed emergency department is the first neighbor island facility to obtain a Level III Trauma designation and serves as the island’s Primary Stroke Center. The medical center also has four birthing suites, seven intensive care beds and 20 same-day surgery beds. The American Heart Association has recognized Wilcox in three areas of excellence: stroke (S) – gold plus award and honor roll elite plus, heart failure (HF) – gold plus award, and atrial fibrillation (AFIB) – gold award. The Supply Chain Management team is dedicated to overseeing the purchase of equipment, merchandise and supplies within the organization’s guidelines for cost, quality and accurate delivery. Staff may receive, stock and transport a variety of items to and from off-site locations, handle messenger pickups and deliveries outside the facilities, maintain stockroom inventories, route incoming goods to proper departments and research or negotiate products according to quality, price and value standards.

As the Purchasing Supply Clerk, you will help to provide accurate and efficient distribution of necessary materials throughout the Hawai‘i Pacific Health network by performing routine tasks related to the delivery of requisitioned supplies, incoming and outgoing mail, and courier services for Wilcox Health. You will also perform related functions such as maintaining inventory levels and record keeping. We are looking for someone detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to carry out tasks under minimal supervision and a commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai‘i’s people.

Minimum Qualifications: High School or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications: Associate’s degree in business administration or related field. Previous experience in material management, preferably in a hospital setting.
