Founded in 1938, Wilcox Medical Center is the largest medical facility on Kaua‘i and has been recognized as one of the nation’s best rural hospitals. With 169 physicians on staff, Wilcox Memorial provides residents and visitors with expert diagnosis and treatment for more than 20 specialties. Its state-of-the-art acute care facility includes a full suite of services from emergency, OB/GYN and pediatrics to cardiology, gastroenterology, ophthalmology, pulmonology, nephrology, cosmetic surgery, internal medicine and family practice. In 2010, the Wilcox Health Women’s Center opened to provide preventive and diagnostic care for Kaua‘i’s women close to home. The hospital has 71 beds, including seven intensive care beds, five birthing suites, 20 same-day surgery beds and a 20-bed emergency department. It is equipped with MRI and CT scanners and a state-of-the-art surgical center with six surgical suites. In 2010, the American Heart Association recognized Wilcox Memorial in three areas of excellence: Coronary Artery Disease (Gold Award), Stroke (Silver Award) and Heart Failure (Silver Award.) Our highly trained Ultrasound technicians work with physicians to utilize high resolution ultrasound imaging technology for a variety of exams, including comprehensive obstetrical monitoring. Our capacity to study fetal growth and mother-baby health, among other conditions, is one of the best in the state and includes the only facility that meets the stringent guidelines of the American Institute for Ultrasound in Medicine.
As the ARDMS Ultrasound Technologist, you will help to ensure that the Imaging Services at Wilcox Memorial Hospital provide quality diagnostic services and care for patients and their families by performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations. We are looking for someone with outstanding patient care and technical skills, an appreciation for procedure and protocol and a commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai‘i’s people.

Minimum Qualifications: Formal training in ultrasound. Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS). Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card.
Preferred Qualifications: One (1) year clinical sonography experience.
